I'm not sure if a thread like this has been on here but there are a few that I feel will never fall. My first would be Don Shula's regular season win record of 328. Others might fall but what are the ones that will stand ?

Favre's iron man streak will be tough to beat, even with the new rules.

18,355 rushing yards will likely never be touched.

George Blanda's 26 seasons played figures to hold up for a while. Same with Jerry Rice's career receptions, yardage, and TDs records.

Found this, which has some pretty good ones, including Derrick Thomas' seven sacks in one game (even though it was against Denver and Elway!) and Paul Krause' eight INTs in one game (holy shit!): NFL's most unbreakable records | NFL.com

A notably bad record included in that piece is the Bucs having lost the first 26 games they played.

8 ints in a game!?

That is amazing. I mistakenly wrote that Paul Krause did it, but it was really a guy named Jim Hardy. Krause had 81 picks in his career, the all-time record.

Most if not all of the QB records will be broken by Luck.

They will.

Possible, but you can't really assume a guy will play long enough to break career marks. For example, if Terrrell Davis had been able to play eight more years like his first four years in the league, he, not Emmit Smith, would be all the all-time rushing leader.

Derrick Thomas 7 sacks was against seattle, & he almost had his 8th sack near the end, but somehow Dave Kreig got out of it & threw a touchdown I believe for the win. (atleast took lead, going off memory)

Yeah, you are right. I looked at the pic of DT sacking Elway and assumed that pic was illustrating the record. Should have read instead of simply looking at the picture!

I would say San Fran's consecutive road wins will never even come close to being broken. That was one that just down right impressed me.

You are correct and given one Kudo.
It was for the win which was a distinct rarity for the AFC Seahawks on the road at KC.

Good article. It states that Shula had 327 wins instead of 328 that I stated. I'll have to look into that. I'm surprised Ton Landry's 29 years as a HC for one team didn't make that list unless they think that one will be broken somehow.

Yeah, very hard to imagine an NFL HC coaching one team that long. Seems to me that not many HCs are even in the league that long.
