but they're smart topless SoBe hotties .. thanks for putting this together .. it's interesting .. i don't see what the big deal is about the pac's academics. aside from the california schools, they're far from special. not surprising that the acc and b1g are at the top of the list.

what kind of technical undergraduate programs does texas tech offer?? sheesh

I assume this is based on academics. If you look at the "Value" of BCS schools..we are more like in the Top 25, based on revenue and expenses. I saw the link/spreadsheet somewhere but can't seem to find it..

If I got banned, would you all follow me to the next destination?

Just post it and dont say anything else about it. let them fight over the content

I'd suggest you reorder by conference name or avg before posting on the main board. If there's any order to this at the moment I'm missing it.

"I think it needs to be the four best teams in the country. I don't think it needs to be the conference champions because in our league we might have four of the best teams in the country."
Florida coach Will Muschamp on the proposed 4-team playoff for college football.

Side bar quote from Athlon's website. This is what is wrong with the 4 team model still and why i think it should be 8. If they do it that way, we will still never know who the best team is because the media hype will not give the other teams a chance i.e. (OSU or Stanford last year)

Yeah -- you notice that every SEC coach/talking head is all for the "top 4" to be in the playoff .. That's because they KNOW that AT LEAST one SEC team will be in the top 4 .. the SEC will never be left out of a 4-team playoff .. but if they go the "top 4" route, they will be able to get an extra team in fairly often = more $$ for the SEC = they become even bigger and stronger

this conference realignment/playoff shit is just as political as DC .. they obviously don't want to do what's best for college football in general.

The SEC wants the top 4 teams because it means they will have more than 1 team in the playoff. They don't want super conferences to have conference winners play each other in the form of a playoff, which is what was trending when the SEC and Big 12 agreed to play each other in their bowl game. The Pac 12 and Big 10 want the conference champions to play in the playoff because it means the Rose Bowl stays relevant and the Big 12 wants the conference champions to play because it means their conference stays alive. The SEC wants nothing to do with that and probably only signed the bowl deal with the Big 12 in hopes of killing the ACC and adding VT and UNC/NC State.

I agree with what you guys are saying. IMO it is inevitable that there will be 4 football super-conferences when all is said and done. When this happens it will be "The world" vs the SEC when this all goes to vote and the details get worked out. It will never fly and two SEC teams in the 4 team playoff would totally go against the whole idea of all of this. I don't think the "Top 4 team" model will fly with the other conferences...and it shouldn't. It will take on more of an NFL model...
