Our "line" has been decimated by trades, bad drafting, and an inability to develop pitchers properly.

I understand that. My point was I don't give a shit who it is. I've seen enough of Nick. I would rather explore other options

Nick may be a quality long man or spot starter for a good team; which I'm pretty sure we aren't today. But until he learns a true out pitch, that's his best cast scenario IMO.

Nick's greatest value is either as a one inning bridge to your heavy hitters in the BP, or in mop up duty to save BP arms. Nice guy, was very fan friendly in ST, but as far as expectations, I've given up on the dude.

He needs some more time in LF and then he will be ready to come up.

He hasn't struck out much since the trade. Actually, I don't remember seeing a strikeout since the trade, but I could be wrong. He puts the ball in play. We need more of that

Darvish came here as #1 and Griffin has been a pleasant surprise and is a decent #5. Holland never performed to the levels expected of him and Perez is the same not worth what he got paid this season and he isn't worth the 6M he is due next year. Neither he or Martinez have what it takes to be a ML pitcher. Cashner has a good era but everything else is below average. Ross has not earned the 11M and won't this year and has not shown that it would be worth signing him for half that next season

Darvish had surgery and is fine. You indicated Cashner was a medical waste of time. NOT TRUE!! The other guys mentioned had injuries and most are performing well to decent except maybe Holland. But all have pitched and are still employed. The point is some may not be #1/2 TORP but it is not because they are medical waste of time. Stay on subject.
