Putting that score out there was actually an intelligence test for us... and for the front offices of the Panthers and Texans.
I didn’t even get to 41 questions before the timer ran out.

Might’ve spent 5 minutes on the first box.

Well, i am not taking the wonderlic test.

I have a job.
Not gonna play in the NFL.
(Would rather play defense for an NHL club.)
Not to mention i have to read some posts 2 or 3 times to figure out what you guys are saying.

I stopped following the Bears.
The articles, opinions and related content was getting ridiculous.

That makes sense, the content wasn't what you like to consume. But not following them cause your feelings are hurt is definitely a younger generation thing, imo

I dont know if i'd go that far as to say his feelings are hurt.

Explayers-turned-media personnel have all unitedly said this is the time of year where players have zero clue as to what a club will do. Leaks would hurt draft or trade value, etc. Every option is a possibility.

I would still venture to guess that Fields staying in Chicago is still a good possibility. As i mentioned before, Bears seem to be all about "character" (even over talent). And they do feel Fields has character.

Always the quietest time of year for dynasty. That stretch between the Super Bowl and the start of the new league year is always boring. Just in case anybody is wondering about the 5th year options coming up, here is the list of the 1st rounders and how much the 5th year option would cost the teams to exercise it. Something tells me that Trey Lance might have the 5th year option exercised on him. The biggest steal might be Etienne at just under $6,000,000. Only 6 Pro bowlers in this class's first round and all within the first 13 picks of the draft.

And the cap explodes to $155, 10-12 higher than most anyone predicted.

There's gonna be some just straight up STUPID contacts this offseason

What's up with all these top guys bowing out of the combine testing ? Seems the trend is to just show your stuff at pro-days where you're on home turf with guys you know. ..... guess I understand that.

It seems not to hurt their draft status so those in high regard don't go anymore. Has taken away from the combine interest IMO.

Reduces the risk of showing any flaws as well as the risk of injury. If you're gonna be a top 10 pick no matter what, all the combine can do is hurt your draft stock. A lot of the same reasons why they don't play in bowl games when they aren't going for the title

So in essence the combine has become a place for the non-top offensive guys to attempt to make a name for themselves. .... I guess I get that, but sure does take a lot away from any combine interest IMO.

I used to follow every event every day. They started televising this thing because of people like me. Now I don't even care when it happens.

Surely one of the taylor swift fans the league was so hyped to add to their advertising data will replace me.

I've never really seen the interest in the combine anyways. Yes it's fun to see the results of those tests, irs water cooler fodder for people like us. The 40 times, the bench press, the shuttle drill, the vertical... but it doesn't really mean a whole lot in the big picture, ESPECIALLY for QB's.

A 40 time means something, and the amount of that something is certainly debatable, but SOMETHING, for WR's, RB,s, DB,s, some LB's, so it's worth doing, it's worth talking about to pass the time until draft day. Just don't take it as an end all be all. But watching it? No, no thank you.

But those throwing drills?? No pressure, no coverage, no read progression? Your not getting a read on anything that will happen in game situations, so why would you bother even participating?

The real value of the combine, especially for the 'top' guys, is the interviews and the medicals, and we never see those anyways.
