Maryland will come into this contest either 2-1 or 1-2 depending on how they do with South Florida. I honestly see that being a very close contest but being at Maryland I'll give them the slight edge.
This game has trap game written all over FOR BOTH TEAMS. WVU has rolled in its first two games against inferior competition...and then a bye week. The week after... A HUGE GAME at Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Maryland could be looking ahead to a home game with a very beatable, but still respected, Michigan squad. Because of all that... This could be one of the sloppiest WVU-Maryland games in recent times. Usually, in a game like that, the most athletic defensive and special teams win. Fortunately for us... I think that is WVU. It may be a disappointing win, however. I think a lot of people are going to expect a blowout. I think that Red Zone problems, a lack of focus at moments early, and an overly expectant crowd could make this a closer game than expected. WVU's offense will have 5 FG's and a TD, but I also think that a special teams or defensive TD will come into play.
