No, I'm qualifying that comment by games that are actual games and not practices for your squad team to see who can make the actual roster. Seems like a legitimate point. Those are games that aren't played to win.

Not my rules at all, coaching in games that are actual games and not practices is an assumed qualification. Losing in practice is not being shut out.

Not really. There are 90 players during the summer and that gets cut down to 53 when it's all said and done. Most starters sit out the majority of the game outside of the first drive. So in reality, most of the players playing are not going to make the 53 man roster cut.
