I don't like the Beatles either. I know they were cutting edge back in the day but their music just never did it for me. There are some songs that are ok, I don't hate them. I just feel they get terribly over hyped.

Led Zeppelin. All I ever heard was Led Zep in classic rock. I can only hear "Stairway to Heaven" so much. I prefer the Beatles over Led.

If that song was the only Zep song you ever heard on the radio, then you are listening to the wrong station. Turn off the radio and listen to their albums/cd's.

I liked Stairway to Heaven the first 200 times I heard it, tolerated it the next 200 times, and now deliberately skip over it

One Direction.......That probably sounds pretty fucking gay that I even know who they are. But girls love them. They are probably the most popular band today. I have spent so much money on their merchandise for my 7 year old.

love nearly everything that is considered "popular" in the 60s and 70s.

That is my fav genre of music. Beatles being the musical gift from God.

Love the Stones, Zep, The Who, Lou Reed, Beach Boys, Skynyrd, etc etc.

Like a couple Stones songs. But overall, to me it is more noise than great music. I appreciate the longevity and energy the guys have.

I just feel they arent in the same galaxy as The Beatles, Zep, Queen, or The Who. And they are often compared to them.

Also I hate the Stones. Back when I was a teenager I would sit and watch my Uncle get drunk and beat my aunt while listening to their music. Ironically one of my best moments happened to one of their songs, I had sex with a black chick while listening to Brown Sugar. It was a good night.

lol. Me too. Those are two songs that are undeniably great. It is most of the other stuff that I consider fller on their albums.

My Dad felt the same way that I do. Guess it was how I was raised.

Now, The Doors..... Grew up on that as a youngin. Going to the river with all the grownups rockin out to great tunes. My dad looked like Jim. And had the same hair and everything. Great memories.
