Not at the price and number of years he's getting. Good player. Plays hard. Stats probably a little padded due to the offense and injuries though.

We might see a lot of this perceived overpaying the next couple of weeks.

I believe 15 teams have over 10M in cap space, and there aren't anywhere near 15 players available who are worth 10M.

Another player leaving LA in free agency. Not a good sign.............unless Lebron and Melo are coming in. We will see. Strongest free agents class for years to come. Good for Meeks.

$6 mil+ a year for a player that is just kinda meh? I guess his inflated numbers from starting last season on a terrible D'Antoni team got him this contract. LA was right in letting him go at that price. I think you can find similar talent at a cheaper price later in free agency. And there is no need for a $6 mil SG to backup Kobe.

That's an overpay. It's nearly 7 mil a year for a guy whose best role is shooting off the bench (7th or 8th man in the rotation). 3 to 4 mil tops should be the range for a guy like that

No it isn't, not at all. After Lebron, 'Melo and maybe Bosh it's a huge drop off. Both of the next 2 FA classes are projected to be stronger.

I really wouldn't call this a particularly strong FA class when you take into account the top end guys are likely resigning with their current teams & the majority of the good young players are RFA(s).

Whose available next year?
I know in 2 years there will be a Durant frenzy, and possibly another James one.

He was overpaid imo, he wasn't coming back to the Lakers anyway. Neither is Nick Young most likely.

I wasn't saying anything, I was asking.
Thanks for posting the list, and I would agree that there are some very quality options.

Overpaid but good for Jodie. He'll work for his money at least. He should get quite a few open 3's

OK, I had fun at the Lakers expense with the Dwight Howard situation. But I don't blame Meeks for living LA and the Lakers not matching. That's an over payment for Meeks and he wasn't going to find that in LA. Buss (Jeanie) and Mutchak are much smarter than this. With our without Meeks, the Lakers weren't going to be in serious contention.

Lol boy you kill me with your agenda you got going on about the Lakers. Please explain, how Meeks getting overpaid by the pistons and the Lakers being smart enough to not match it, is a bad sign for the Lakers?
