how are you bloody rags enjoying that guy at the back end of the trade? what's his name... eik.. eich.. eickhoff? he just has a 2.44 era, 1.03 whip and 70 strikeouts/18 walks in 11 starts so far.

and they only have thompson, williams and alfaro with him to show for it. these phils are going downhill fast. if only we could have got joey "he is the only rangers prospect i know so we have to get him in return" gallo. his 57 strikeouts and .717 ops in 123 AB with the rangers last year was all we needed to turn this franchise around!

Eickhoff is the gem. we did not know at the time. But since he added a productive curveball to his arsenal he
now projects to be a number two pitcher. Alfaro looks to be a solid addition as well.

And you still haven't named one building block we got out of any trade. All you do is try to rip me. Reading prospect rankings doesn't mean you know baseball kid.

The facts are that we had an Ace. Now we don't.

I don't feel like reading the thread. Do you think the Phillies should have kept Hamels?

Best trade since Rick Wise for Steve Carlton- and it's not even close

I agree Cedrique. Hamels was becoming an ever-increasing, whiney, little bitch and ooh, I have a hangnail, I can't pitch today. Good riddance!

Wow, I guess Hispanics don't exist in your warped world of best trades that aren't even close- Kevin Stocker for Bobby Abreu? No? I bet you're upset we didn't get Rocker for Stocker both because Rocker was racist and the trade rhymes and would sound cool

Maybe true but the Phils gave Hamels little run support and I hated that, so did Hamels. He gave everything on the mound, blew some games surely, but he had every reason to whine and he usually kept it to himself. He should have had 2 dozen more games in the win column minimum.

No. In hindsight, it's 95% probable the trade was dynamite for the Phils future. Less then 5% chance injuries or ineptitude develop in the haul we got. Eickhoff insulted us today so, yeah, bust the bastard back to AA.
