Crosby and Hornqvist are flying, as they have been, and it's finally paying off in a big way. Two goals for that line in the first. And for once, they aren't the entire offense, as Bennett finally scored another goal.
They look fantastic tonight.
And speaking of Hornqvist, he needs an A on his sweater yesterday.
Sutter can't lose two draws clean in the defensive zone, doesn't matter if he is on his strong side if he's just going to lose them clean with no awareness at all.
Based on this effort, it's hard to think they get a point out of the Islanders. Which leaves Buffalo. Add to that Ottawa's two games left are Washington - a tough one, and then the Leafs... it would not surprise me in the least if the Pens are golfing next week.
Nothing really you can say but yeah I fully expect them to be golfing next week with the first time since Crosby and Malkin been on the Penguins they missed the playoffs.
Crosby, Malkin, Hornqvist, and Fleury were the only four to bother after the first period, and try as they might, they couldn't stop the rest of the team from dragging them down. I guess Martin and Cole were okay, but they probably got worn down since they were the only viable pairing left by the end of the game.
