Bama gets a lot of their points off turnovers. It's not going to take some perfect game to beat them, but you can NOT beat yourselves by giving them turnover points.

Reasons for hope:
Chris Petersen - It starts and ends with coach. There really aren't any better at doing more with less in big games with a month to prepare. If ever there was going to be a David and Goliath moment in a game like this, he's the guy to get it done.
Alabama hasn't seen an offense this highly ranked all year and has not seen one with this much balance. It's no mystery what they are going to try to do: Plug up the run and pressure the shit out of Browning. They do this very very well. Petersen has a full month to game plan what to do about it. He has lots of weapons at his disposal toward those efforts.
UW has been very strong in run defense. They entirely shut down Stanford's power game, limited USC to just over 100y rushing, kept a relentless rushing attack by Utah to 213yards, and just blew up Colorado's very potent ground game. They move laterally very well and generally do an outstanding job of tackling in space. Tide to not seem like a team that will beat you over the top so expect Baker to be feasting down low all day.
Special teams is a massive strength of this team. Ross and Pettis are always a threat to go to the house and they do well in field position games.
All of the pressure will be squarely on them. Their expectations are sky high. UW has already exceeded expecation and are playing with house money now.

Reasons to worry:
Saban - As much as you love what Petersen brings, Saban is the most successful HC in the game right now and knows well how to get ready for these kinds of games.
Bama has the top ranked defense in the FBS and they are very good at forcing turnovers and capitalizing on them.
They will have bigger and faster kids all over that field. You are going to have to overcome that talent in quite a few mismatches.
Tide has been there before. UW's kids haven't been in anything that resembles this and will be much more wide eyed and potentially in awe of playing the might tide in this setting. Might make it tougher to stay inside their roles and not try to do more than what they are asked to do.

Oh well. At least Florida sucks though.
Sucks so bad...they are 'only' the sixth best defence in the NCAA. Despite this, Bama scored 54 points, 138 passing and 234 rushing yards on them. :ranger:

Firstly, they're only the 10th best scoring defense. Secondly, you only scored like 40 on their defense. Thirdly, they suck. :trash:

Perhaps...Bama also played that super cruddy LSU "scoring" defense.
If we can match match what LSU's 'scoring' defense did, I'll take that right now...

Aren't there other places for excited bama fans to thump their chests besides our team board? We all know this is an uphill battle against the best team in college football. We don't need to be reminded of that. However there is zero chance you are going to come onto our team board and not expect to see chat on the positives of our team/season and the reasons to be excited and have hope for a good game.

UW earned the right to play this game. Our fans have also earned the right to be fired up for it and hold out hope of sneaking out a victory.

What's more funny is how quickly they turned into SEC fans after all those years of giving SEC fans shit when their conference was on top and shitting all over everyone else. The hypocrisy is staggering and not entirely unpredictable.
