Walker is likely out or limited, but pretty simple strategy here:

1) Keep Barton on the field for <= 35 snaps.
2) Do not do the stupid 2-4-5.
3) Do not sell so hard on the run you're getting destroyed by sweeps or Darnold taking off.

Do 1-3 and Seattle should win this rather easily. Naturally that means we'll see Barton for 60 snaps, Seattle will run 33% of their snaps as 2-4-5, miss tackles and ignore sweeps and let Darnold run for 30-50 (which is basically all he's good for), and Seattle will either win or lose this game 27-24.

the only chance the panthers have in this game is if we cant fix our run defense, if we can, darnold is going to have a long day.

I think this is going to be a much tough game than some think... Panthers have a very good OL where they utilize an extra OL as a TE to pound the rock... Foreman and Hubbard have been a solid 1/2 punch... There's no denying that Carolina will focus on the run but we have to limit the big plays that seemingly happen against our defense...

Then on the other side of the ball, the Panthers defense is very good upfront... Brian Burns is a wrecking ball in terms of putting pressure on the QB... He's one of the guys the Panthers were not willing to depart with at the trade deadline if that tells you anything...

I expect this to be an ugly game where we have to squeak it out or hang on to the lead to the very end...

The Panthers have lost 9 consecutive games on the road so there's that...

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said early this week that running back Ken Walker had a chance of playing through the ankle injury that knocked him out of last Sunday's game, but Walker's practice participation didn't create much hope that he'd actually get into the lineup.

This is going to be a tough game. Panthers will pound the ball and we all know the Seahawks are poor at stopping the run and Panthers defense is pretty good. I actually feel the Seahawks should be the underdogs.

Keep Barton off the field 50% of the time, do not use that stupid 2-4-5, and use Taylor only on passing downs (use Mafe/Nwosu/Brooks/anyone else) and we should be fine.

It's not even the 'run' so to speak Harold - assuming you're talking about runs to the back.. it's the jet sweeps, the QB runs... Seattle seems to completely sell out on the runningback when they do play the run and ignore the other options entirely. Don't overextend the run D on the runningback. And get Barton off the fuckin' field on first down. He's a 2nd and long/3rd down option ILB...

And I blame the coaching staff for not filling that void. For everything they've done right this season, that was a major wrong. The fact this team planned to go 3-4 with Cody Barton as our starting 2nd ILB is absolutely ridiculous to me.

I really don't see another easily winnable game on the Broncs schedule. The Chiefs and Chargers are not going to be resting starters at this point and are vastly superior... Aaron Donald and Kupp may be back and generally shred Wilson... as for the Cards... I mean that's probably their only winnable game left.

If Cody Barton is off the field 50%+ of the snaps and Seattle doesn't run the 2-4-5 for more than 10% of the snaps, that's easy money.
