Anyone know of a website that could help me understand what announcers mean when they talk about going over or under a pick?

Preferably one with diagrams, not just verbiage?

Thanks in advance for anyone providing a link.

Basketball Defense - Defending the Pick and Roll by Coach Joao Costa, Coach's Clipboard Playbook

This shows it some. Basically, "going over a screen" is the player that is getting screened passing the screener on the same side as the player being screened for.

"Going under a screen" is the defender going to the opposite side (typically goal-side) of the screener as the the player being screened for.
Shanemansj13 could use some etiquette lessons from you, apache.

Thanks!

So he doesn't root for the same teams you do.

He's still more polite than you have been in this thread.

Shaneman's response to my polite request was rude even without the obscenity it included.

Wasn't that obvious?

Thought you were referring to me since it was right after my post. Looks like I was slow.

Yes, it just looked like you were taking it out on Trojanfan when he agreed with you.

That was not my intention.

Would have sworn I used the quote link but...

Not trying to be rude but how could you not figure that out? Whichever announcers you were listening to must be awful at explaining things.

Good on the guy. Too often are internet message boards filled with guys who claim to know it all and call themselves "experts"

Here is a guy who wants to know more about a certain subject and is actually man enough to ask us.

He may be a dirty little Celtics fan, but hats off to Brahmsian :suds:
