You’re right about the betting on road teams, as a general go to rule. Also, add to the fact that Stanford LOVES to beat Oregon and they just came off of a very embarrassing arse whoopin, and will have something to prove on Saturday. I think skill players on offense and a sneaky good defense will win out in the end will be the difference.

Ducks by 2 TDs is the hope.

Plus, Stanford usually starts slow most seasons. Not sure why, but that seems to be the case. It's part of why I don't mind playing them early every season. lol

Granted, this is a really slow start, even by their standards, but they're not a team I'd be overlooking.

Tejas (-5.5) is higher in the pile right now, and they're not even at the top. They get a week off before going to WVU then Oklahoma's still 3 weeks out, so they won't be looking ahead. They owe me one for not covering the (+6.5) against LSU. LOL

Already said in the Pac thread that this game is the lock pick of the week. Stanford has no offense right now. So while this should be a slow starting game their D should be gassed sometime mid 3rd quarter and it will be game over.

Would I bet on the cover? No. Oregon still struggles on the road and double digits is rough, but I would still be surprised if it isn't a more than 2 TD win.

Oregon's lost 3 straight to them, but Oregon's improved up-front this season. They got gassed in the 4th Q against Auburn, but Auburn's got good lines.

Stanford used to have good lines, but UCF exposed them.
