What is the logic of charging 2 errors on that play? If he makes a good throw, runner stays at 2nd and the runner batter is out. You can’t assume a double play.

I expect the fielding error will be removed eventually.

Yep, still pitching without givng up runs.

Schmitt's star has fallen a bit, sad to see.
He started as Nick Lowery. Of course he couldn’t keep that up.

He will go down, get his breath back, work on a handful of things and be back later this year, likely for good.

I am not worried. Not even a little bit.

The only thing I may give you credit here for is that you are subconsciously reverse jinxing him, thereby making him one of the best relievers in MLB since May 1.

Doubtless you needed the staff to change your diaper, dress your self-inflicted wounds, and restrain you in your bed after two Cubs got on base, before he courageously worked out of the jam.

Could Nick even keep up the pace of playing like Nick?

Not while he is on this roll. We'll wait until his next injury, a hangnail or something.

But this has been an impressive day for him, for sure.
This.

Joc is an above average MLB hitter. I don’t think anyone has claimed otherwise. But the fact that he is one of the most streaky players, plays horrendous D and has a terrible attitude about addressing his shortcomings makes him a horrible value at QO rates.

He won’t get a QO this off season, and will sign somewhere for about 10-12m aav.

I still maintain he was given the QO to provide some sort of veneer that we had a lineup that would support Judge signing with us. Y'all will say that we were never going to get 99, but I disagree. "Never" was not the right word. But we had to sign Joc, and we had the money, to have a chance at Judge. At the time, after Joc, the quality of our hitters declined rapidly.

But I do fully agree with your last statement here.

Craw wanted to do it, so more power to him, but it does end something I really liked about Craw’s career…

He never spent a single pitch at any position other than SS.

I think this kind of stunt doesn't really change the gist of that

He was on the field with a glove. It counts.

It is only a thing in my head. I doubt anyone else even cares. But it is something I have been monitoring since last season.

Interesting question. I searched, briefly, for most games played at only one position for only one team. I could not find an answer. I suppose hitting at DH should not disqualify.

What is this thing, “DH”, that you speak of? It sounds like a creation of the devil.
