THE GAME: The Washington football team (6-0 overall, 3-0 Pac-12) plays host to Oregon State (2-4, 1-2) in the Huskies' homecoming game this Saturday afternoon at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. The game, the UW's only home game in the month of October, kicks off at 3:30 p.m. PT and airs on Pac-12 Network. The Huskies enter the game riding a nine-game win streak and are ranked No. 5 in both the Associated Press top 25 and the USA Today coaches' poll. Following the Oregon State game, the Dawgs play back-to-back road games at Utah and California.

QUICK SLANTS: The Huskies' current nine-game winning streak is tied with Western Michigan for second-longest in the nation ... UW leads the nation in completion percentage (.727), team pass efficiency (208.37), fumble recoveries (12), sacks (4.0 per game), turnover margin (2.17 per game) and are second in fewest interceptions (2) and both fewest turnovers (4) and most takeaways (17) ... UW is also third in scoring offense and seventh in scoring defense ... the Dawgs have yet to allow a point after a turnover this season while they've turned 17 takeaways into 66 points ... UW's streak of scoring 40 points was broken in a 35-28 win at Arizona, but the Huskies have now topped 40 in eight of their last nine ...Jake Browning, who ranks No. 1 the FBS in pass efficiency (204.9) entering this week, broke the school record with 6 TD passes at Oregon ... with 23 TD passes in 2016, he's already easily surpassed his 2015 total of 16 ... Browning ranks No. 2 in the nation in touchdowns and No. 1 in completion percentage ...

HUSKIES vs. BEAVERS HISTORY: Washington holds a 62-34-4 record in the all-time series against Oregon State, having won the 20 of the last 28 meetings and 30 of the last 39, dating back to 1975. The series against the Beavers is the second-longest (to Stanford) active series in Washington football history in terms of years and third-longest in terms of total meetings (to Oregon and Washington State). The teams first met on Dec. 4, 1897

I think Oregon State makes this interesting for a short time. Mind you the Beav's will be only down 7-0 at the 12:34 mark of the first quarter, but at that point it's still anybodies game.

Beautiful Fall day for a football game

Seattle is absolutely gorgeous this week. Trees full of gold and red leaves. Sunny for the game. Doesn't get much better up here in the PACNW.

I like they are now mixing the backups with the starters

Yep. Plenty more PAC games left to play. No reason to kill the starters. Get the backups more game experience will payoff all around.

Like that they were talking about Trey Adams. How big was it that we got him to still commit after the questions about Sark leaving that he would rethink his options. Turning into a rock solid LT.
