Lol.....as I said. Big eye-opener for the caps last night and tonight they are getting blown out by a better team. The caps are a playoff team this year and their ultimate fate will probably neither be better nor worse than it is all other years, but the people jumping the gun and putting them in the top five or even ten in nhl power rankings were a little ahead of themselves.

You start to wonder if the league is seriously thinking about where they went wrong with vegas; on another note

Am I the only one who thinks Zac Rinaldo should not face supplemental discipline for the incident with the Avs?

Looked like a clean hit, then Girard skates up to him and acts surprised when Rinaldo hits him.

I have no use for the guy, but not seeing anything he did wrong. This time.

Look at Girard's eyes the whole play.

He skates around MacKinnon and Rinaldo is looking for shit, so he gives Rinaldo a shove because Rinaldo is looking for shit.

But you can clearly see that Girard is watching the play the entire time.

Shrug, I look at it as a "get out of my way, assclown" as he was following the play with his eyes on the puck the whole time. Shoving a guy who is making an attempt to get in your way isn't Girard asking to go.

You are likely correct on the intent. But if you shove the neighborhood bully, you better be prepared for a more, ahem, physical reaction. Everyone knows the bullies on each team, Girard should have expected something when he makes contact with a goon like Rinaldo. Thats why I dont buy the "Girard was blindsided" argument that led to the inperson invitation.
