You're far more optimistic than I am.
I expect another year of strong competition for the #1 overall pick. This is a team that doesn't even have a starting goaltender anymore, which was the only thing that kept them even remotely in games last season. They were only 25th worst in GA/G and within 10% of the 16th place team. But GF/G; 30th by a WIDE margin. A full 25% behind the 29th scoring team.

Apparently designed by Grandpa Simpson. All it's missing is an onion on the belt, which was the style at the time.
In Philadelphia, the Flyers used to have Ice Girls of the near-naked variety, but this offseason completely got rid of them. Let's just say the response has been the opposite of San Jose. The Flyers still have an Ice Crew, which they debuted Monday night at the team's first preseason game, but there are no women -- scantily clad or otherwise.
The fans, as you see/hear above, don't seem to like the change.
That’s a good thing, because it wasn’t always that way. Years ago, true holdouts happened all the time in the NHL, often involving superstar players who’d sit out for months or even a full year in an attempt to get their way. Somehow, this didn’t seem like all that big of a deal at the time — everyone just kind of accepted it.
For the first time, I actually agree with Philly fans for booing.

I like the concept of ditching skanks on skates...but, they can still skate and clean the ice. Just have them clothed, for goodness sake.

Hey now, just because they're scantily clad doesn't necessarily mean they're skanks.
I think she was addressing the ones in Philly specifically.
Holy shit, what does this say about the rest of the team?
