Pound for pound Stamkos may have been on the best value contract of the last decade and he’s still extremely capable of 30g/80p per 82.

TB really doesn’t have any pending UFA’s next summer to get signed beyond Stamkos either, and if they gave him that same cap for say 4 years my guess is he’d happily take it.

So I wonder if they’re thinking about maybe doing a bit of a refresh depending on how this season goes. In which case I’d probably communicate that to your captain.

In no way am I trying to equate the two, but Bobby Orr taking out a full page ad in a Boston paper supporting Donald Trump obviously doesn't sit well with me. You'd think that Bobby would have been able to identify a con man after his dealings with Alan Eagleson.

I guess because of the controversy around native imagery on sports logos but I’ve never met someone who didn’t think their logo and jersey are cool as hell.

I think people who don’t see the difference between this team name and logo combination and, say, the Redskins and their logo, regardless of their background, aren’t being honest and just want to make a stink for the sake of it.
