No Canadian based team cracks the top 10. Flames are in 32nd place lol

Unless they’re assuming McDavid is leaving Edmonton for some stupid reason this is garbage just based on that omission alone.

Also need to know the rationale that Buffalo or Detroit or Columbus are too ten but Ottawa, who have been equally shit for years but also full of young controlled talent, aren’t.

I read the article. One of the worst attempts at "analysis" I have ever seen. Based entirely on opinion with ridiculous weighting factors (I guess to make it look scientific).

The premise is they are predicting the best teams this year and the next 2 seasons. "prospects" at 25% weight. Ummm, most prospects will not hit their prime this year or the next 2. That's why they are "prospects".

Current roster is only a 35% weight. Really? The current roster is only 35% relevant to how well a team will do this year? Wow.

The other 2 factors were Cap/Contracts (20%) and Owner/GM/Coach (20%).

100% opinion. The only thing missing was an acknowledgement that Craig Button ghostwrote it.

Its so bad, the article is credited to "NHL Insiders". I kid you not.

Probably okay as long Connor doesn't borrow his shoulder pads.

Recchi: I had a great Power Play in Pittsburgh
Fantilli: Yeah, you'd have to work hard to suck with Crosby Malkin and Letang out there.
Recchi: <changing subject> Do you notice how Bemstrom is limping?

Tampa needs a goalie...

When did he get hurt? Or is this another example of a guy waiting until the season starts to get surgery knowing full well he needed it months ago

Maybe he strained his back lifting those huge bags of money? At any rate, Dan Vladar should be packing his bags for a trip to Tampa :D

He will be back in time for the playoffs. Tampa and him do not want to hurt their Salary cap.
The only downside is without him they might not make the playoffs

Great news for Boston, odds are they can keep above water up front enough to get into the top 3 in the Atlantic assuming Toronto and Florida don’t fall off a cliff.

Makes the competition for a wild card spot a little tougher.
