Yeah stopped on page one when there is two listed for the M's......
I'm really shocked the article didn't say how idiotic the Mariners were with the signing when Chone's entire offensive game was useless when he was a poor man's Ichiro nor did they mention his horrible defense was also a result of the Mariners going idiotic version 2 by swapping him and Jose Lopez positions.
It still puzzles me, they had a young all star 2B (who had work ethic issues) an all world leadoff hitter, then they spend a boat load on a free agent leadoff hitter, bat him 2nd or 9th (the two worst spots in the order for him) then move him to 2nd and Lopez to 3B. Of all the dumb things the Mariners have done, that 4 year window has to go down as the worst managed in baseball history.
The mariner Way...
Feels like there's one guy in this system every year. What a fucking idiot
I will have to say Zona is on to something about rooting for the Yankees. I hate them but they are a first class organization. They just sent the PC sheriff's office a care package for their fallen officer.
Astros Reportedly Get Cole After Christmas...
The Astros won the World Series and are still looking for ways to improve, meanwhile the Mariners finished with a losing record and they are good with where they are at
Damn, it would be amazing to have guys to give up to get better. Instead Jerry gives up top prospects (Mariners wise) and get coal instead of Cole.
Things in a nutshell
Mariners agree to terms with mediocrity, sources have confirmed, we are still waiting for details
Meanwhile our blogs stay nice and fluffy
The Mariners Are (Probably) Done Adding to the Starting Rotation, and That’s OK
The Yankees have a really likable team with all that impressive young talent they've got. Having Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Santon playing in the same outfield is fucking insane.
Not half as insane as it was to have Dustin Ackley and Nelson Cruz in the same outfield.
MLB Power Rankings: How All 30 Teams Stack Up 1 Month from Spring Training
So basically enough to give us a mild amount of hope but not good enough to make the playoffs.
Yankees signed LHP Wade LeBlanc to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
LeBlanc will earn $1 million if he makes the major league roster. His contract includes an out-clause at the end of spring training. The southpaw posted a 4.50 ERA and 54/17 K/BB ratio over 68 relief innings with the Pirates in 2017.
Not good enough for the hapless M's, but the Evil Empire has no problem trying him out.
A veteran minor league deal isn't controllable enough for Jerry.
