Honestly, a lot of those negatives you listed sound like typical problems for the hot shot, bright, young, type-A personality head coaching candidates. That's why I think having Elway there as the final say guy is important. That said, hopefully Shanahan doesn't think so highly of himself that he'd rather go somewhere else where he has more say. That seems like a path straight down the McDaniels road in Denver to me.

It isn't so much my worry about him being reigned in by Elway. It is more how does he handle interacting with his coaches and players? That is where McDaniels really struggled. Players and coaches hated him by the end and Shanahan has had some of those same issues.

The biggest concern with Shanahan is how will he deal with the pressure of running the same team his dad had the most success with.

I'd be willing to bet there would be some legitimate feelings he has towards not being able to replicate his fathers success and how will he handle that if he can't. That's a lot more expectations(whether realistic or just in his mind it doesn't matter) for a first time coach than you'd typically want.

On a completely different front We have yet to see this Shake up .

I think we were hearing of Players not staff .

I believe No one was going to be safe on the Offensive side of the ball including both starting WR's .

Deal is now with Kubiak gone will we go away from what Gary was trying to install ? it is not like the team was getting close to be remotely close to implementing Kubiak offence .

So actually there is a pause were to go in my mind .. you have a Hmmmm moment at least with me .

I want a O minded Coach that much I know . But now that we have a reset Should we not have a coach that utilizes the players we already got ?

He just needs to tell himself - Daddy had John Elway playing QB - he has Trevor Siemian and Lynch.
