Definitely not a senior but I have taken people snipe hunting (although I think our version of snipe hunting is different than most). It's somewhat of a family tradition when we go on vacation in Colorado because we usually have 1-2 people with us who have never gone before. Good times.

How long did it take for them to figure out they had been snookered?:laugh3:

Depends on who it was...like I said we do it a little differently and we don't normally just leave people anywhere. Ours is more of a hike in the woods at night and we let the newbie lead the way with a flashlight while we follow behind tossing rocks in the bushes and stuff. It's pretty funny to see them freak out and spin the flashlight to the sound and then poke around in the bushes like they are going to find something.

That would be fun to watch - lol. My mother is 89 and wanted to take someone snipe hunting when she was a girl, but her mother wouldn't let her - so that tells you how old that tradition is -

One of my ex-girlfriend's brothers tried to pull this on me. Funny thing was, he thought a snipe wasn't an actual bird.

I've been on both ends of this before.

Best place, of course, is the cemetery. That's where you find the biggest and tastiest snipe.
