Well that sucked. Agree that terry should have left DeGrom in, but man does this offense and defense both suck.

ATLANTA--(6/20)

FIRST PITCH: On a three-game skid, the New York Mets look to get back on track Saturday at Turner Field.

Noah Syndergaard (2-4, 3.76 ERA) opposes Atlanta Braves right-handerWilliams Perez (3-0, 2.29) at 7:10 p.m. ET Saturday.

SATURDAY'S NEWS REPORTS:

  • Jacob deGrom took a scoreless effort into the eighth inning, but the Metsmelted down in the frame and lost to the Braves, 2-1, in Friday's series opener. Read game recaps in the Post, Daily News, Times, Newsday, Recordand at NJ.com and MLB.com.

  • Jeurys Familia felt tightness in his left groin while completing the eighth inning and may be sidelined the remainder of the weekend in Atlanta, if not longer. Read more in the Post and at NJ.com.

  • Kirk Nieunwehuis homered twice and drove in six runs as Las Vegas beat Fresno, 11-5. Binghamton's seven-game winning streak was snapped as ex-Met Greg Burke stranded the tying run in scoring position in the seventh and New Hampshire beat the B-Mets, 3-2. Savannah remained in a first-place tie with two games to go in the first half with a 6-4 win at Augusta. Brooklyn opened its season with a 3-2 win in 12 innings at Staten Island. Michael Bernal delivered the decisive RBI single. Read the full minor league recaphere.

  • Zack Wheeler expects to resume throwing next month as he rehabs from Tommy John surgery. He is eyeing a return to the majors in June or July 2016. Read more at MLB.com.

Why isn't Thor getting those strikes called???
Those are paint.
Simmons looked at 2 strikes that weren't called....and he should have been out.

That being said....he'd have been better off just beaning AJ instead of allowing a double that Grandy played into a triple...

Thor's pitch count already getting up there....smh

2-1 Mets after 2

In addition to some of the other batting issues...TC has to stop putting Cuddyer in the cleanup spot....
It's not working....not even close.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting a different result.
(Repeating the same mistakes)
