Wentz probably will succeed where rg3 failed. Wentz has a cannon. Now if he separates that throwing shoulder in pre-season he may not do so well

No team in their right mind would offer even a single 1st (at least not a top half of the round pick). Foles had success running a certain package of plays, and otherwise struggled at best elsewhere.
You're inviting the Philadelphia inquisition now. Blessed be thee.

This reminds me of when hostleter won a superbowl with the giants and was his career highlight. But yah, we will hear about the new eagle dynasty until the fail next season

Thanks, I've said that all along. My take is Foles ain't worth a 2nd, but for the Eagles to trade him they'd have asked for a 1st minimum due to the question surrounding Wentz. Now that it sounds worse for Wentz it would take more if a team wanted him.

This guy, who has not treated Wentz, and is just talking out of his ass, doesn't change my perspective at all.

But it has been clear from day one that Wentz would have a pretty tough time getting ready for the start of next season, even if everything went perfectly, because his injury happened so late in the season. Add to that the fact that a second ligament, the LCL, was later found to be torn in addition to the ACL, and both had to be surgically repaired, and well, you have a pretty major injury to recover from.

This other armchair "expert" doc, Pro Football Doc, has written about the Wentz situation. His take, which sounds logical to me, is that he may be back by opening day, but he won't be fully recovered until late next season at best, and possibly not until 2019. Which...makes Foles very valuable indeed.

I think there is a strong chance Foles starts next season fellas.

Carson Wentz's road to recovery probably remains same distance, just bumpier

Yeah being serious for a moment I knew deep down they would have to keep Foles around, makes total sense to have the insurance with and how Wentz's knee responds...

The whole shitty part about this, watch the replay of him being hit and you still scratch your head and wonder, "how"......

Wentz does need to learn to play smarter. He takes that "North Dakota tough" attitude way too far. He broke a small rib in preseason as a rookie, missing the rest of preseason, and then got hurt against the Rams, taking unnecessary hits. All QBs get hit, but smart ones minimize the hits.

ACL plus two ligaments. Damn, we were not told the seriousness of the injury, if that is true. But, yes, we keep Foles regardless of the extent of the injury. The is a No Brainer, folks.

But does this mean we can start up the Wentz trade talk? He's damaged goods now, and there's about 5 teams who would trade for him and wait until he comes back healthy and hope he can overcome this. I mean if your Philly he may never be the same again so might as well trade him while he still has value.

If that’s true, it definitively can negatively affect his career, no troll. I work in rehab.

I read this is just some surgeon, not Wentz's actual doctor, saying this stuff

Show me where I said I know as much as surgeons.

My point was clear: He may be a surgeon, but he is not Wentz's surgeon, and hasn't examined him. He is speculating, just from an educated perspective.

I then quoted another "armchair NFL doctor" on his take on the situation.
