you should get on @kobesgame schedule. shit, you never even drop into the morning thread. that said, i'd imagine that means things are going well in your life. salut. fucking crazy going into the NBA season with the bucks and sixers being the favorites from the east and one of those teams clearly being pretenders.

I don't think he hit up the morning thread on SB either

I had forgotten he moved over to the hoop

I say anyone that takes the time to put together a list like this deserves to rank his team first on it :thumb:

I'm just happy he didn't have Dallas at #32

If you could elaborate why you see that, I would like to know. They won 10 last year and are improved and the young guys more seasoned. And their lowest win total with Wilson is 9. And the Niners are well below the Hawks and Rams in that division.
As for the rest,Houston miles too high imo. They are a 6 or 7 win team tops imo. Bad defense, bad coaching, no GM and even with Tunsil, mediocre Oline.
I'll let you have the Eagles because obviously, fan and all and they will be in the mix but the Jags are way, way too high. Foles isn't saving them.
Having said all that, it's all just for fun anyway. A long season to go. Could be some shockers, injuries or cinderella stories before all is said and done. Cheers.

I don’t like what they did offensively last year with basing it around the run. 2nd in rushing attempts and 32nd in passing attempts. They lost one of their top receivers and did nothing to improve their running backs. The offensive skills players just scream mediocre to me.

Defensively, they lost Clark and will miss Reed for 6 games. They’ve added Clowney and Ansah but I’m not crazy about their DL without Reed there. Obviously the LBs are pretty good but if they can’t get a consistent pass rush, that secondary is pretty young and will probably cost them.

Basically - if anyone shuts down their rushing attack, I think you’ll really see the weaknesses at WR and on defense. So even if they’re able to beat lesser teams, I don’t see them able to beat anyone with a good defense. Maybe they get to 9 or 10 wins again but I can’t consider them a serious contender at this point.

I can’t remember the last time the Patriots beat the Eagles but I can remember the last time the Eagles beat the Patriots...and this Eagles team is better than that one.

Jacksonville should dominate the AFC South now that Luck has retired. Houston might give them a run for their money but Foles seems poised to make the most of his opportunity to lead a team.

I

'm still laughing at the Eagles offense is better than Dallas. TE is the only position better than Dallas.

Wrong. RB is the only position where Dallas is better than Philly.

jax will be 8-8 or 9-7 at best.

and youre basing this off a loss to the eagles...2 years ago....vs a guy whos now QBing for jax?

Wrong. RB is the only position where Dallas is better than Philly.
And even that is being generous. I mean Miles Sanders is probably going to be better than Barry Sanders

Nice effort.

I think after the 1st Q of the season they will mean more than they do now.

But to play along...PIT...I would say, that's fair for now. I think the DEF will be better than LY, of course everyone wants to see how the OFC will look w/o Brown, I'm not overly concerned about that loss, but until I see them play a real game, it's just a thought.

For shits and giggles...On your top 4...I would take JAX out and put NO in...JAX does have Foles now, but everyone thinks the DEF will be as good as they have been recently but I'm not so sure they will...at least the pass rush...depending on some 30+ y/o guy to hold off father time another year.

I’m not concerned about them losing Brown. I do wonder how much Roethlisberger has left. He had a great year last year - but has any QB taken more hits than him? Tom Brady has played in 50+ more games but Ben has been sacked 40 more times than him. They’ve done a great job of protecting him lately...but I worry about that. And even when he isn’t sacked, he still takes some big hits.

No one said that’s what I’m basing it off of. Try to keep up. The 2019 Eagles are better than the 2019 Patriots.

you said this:

I can’t remember the last time the Patriots beat the Eagles but I can remember the last time the Eagles beat the Patriots...and this Eagles team is better than that one.

thus, my response, logically.

Good point. Zeke had close to 400 touches last year. The Eagles RB unit could ultimately outperform the Cowboys. The Cowboys were only 14th in yards per attempt last year. The Eagles could very well manage that. During the Super Bowl year, the Eagles were 3rd in rushing yards and 4th in yards per attempt. Maybe Howard and Sanders help them rejuvenate the rushing game.

Bringing up the Eagles Super Bowl win served two purposes:

(1) I like talking about how the Eagles won the super bowl 19 months ago.

(2) The 2019 Eagles are better on paper than the 2017 Eagles. Are the 2019 Patriots better than the 2018 Patriots? Maybe. Who knows. They’re ranked top 5 so they’re in the mix. On paper, the 2019 Eagles are better than the 2019 Patriots.
