if we express opinions in a respectful & thoughtful way this should be a great forum for we reds fans going forward. i saw a posting on the cbs message board that said -and i'm paraphrasing her- that opinions are like ______, everybody's got one. in addition, no one wants to hear, or -in this case- read a contrasting view. the poster completely missed the point. that is: barbs are not opinions. you know what i mean? i like to get second opinions, not second barbs.

Curiously about contrasting viewpoints: Frequently they are the result of an original post that wasn't thought out in the first place.

If the trash talk from the St. Loser gang can be avoided, I will be happy to take part in these discussions. I guess having an opinion connects to having an interest in the subject. If it weren't for the Reds, my interest in baseball would be limited to 40 minutes away in Gary ... and not many folks want to talk about the RailCats.

It appears the CBS migration has been essentially the heartbeat of the SH forums. So most of us know each other in that respect. I think the folks who were posting here before the migration are happy they found some real baseball fans.

I see 99 Rams is still posting on CBS and pretending he's doing something to annoy me. He had one of my posts deleted, evidently reporting it as "spam" when I asked folks to quit th CBS boards and join this one.

I hope that Cbssports don't take away the gametracker though,I still enjoy talking on there during games.

I like the Gametracker better than the one that Yahoo offers. It's even better than the MLB game flow, though MLB has a LOT more features, plus you can connect to audio/video/Gameday on that. I will reserve the sportshoopla for my rants.

There is zero reason to connect with CBS for anything else. Even their bloggers and commenters are shoving dog poop from the big markets. I understand writing to the audience that you are trying to reach but their stretch is really excessive. I am just waiting for the first of a series of "what's happening in the Boston clubhouse" to make my day.

CBS may have fallen prey to a common mistake after losing market share: instead of correcting what drive customers to their competitors, they try to be more like them... Like teams that don't play their own game, and wind up playing into the other teams game. Common sense isn't that common.
