At the intersection of I-75 and I-285.

I wonder what will happen to Turner Field...and what will happen to Fulton County Stadium. Will they still have the marker for Hank Aaron's 715th home run?

I saw this. Crazy. Only 20 years of use!

They should atleast keep a park or something like that to mark Hank Aaron's 715th landing spot. It will be strange decades from now, when kids don't know there was ever a stadium around there. Will be funny if the marker ends up in someone's backyard.

It's a joke that the Braves already have to build a new park - I know the costs are ridiculous to renovate Turner but if your fan base would show up more to these games, they might have more $ in their back pocket to do things to keep the park going

wow. from a business standpoint i understand, but from a fan standpoint i cant believe it. No way i would make that drive from up I85 or south of the city. Weekday rush hour traffic on I285 was terrible when i lived there let alone 15 years later. Hopefully they convert the ted to an outdoor football stadium and the falcons can play football outside in the fall like they should.

the braves get no revenues from parking and very little from tickets and concessions this isnt about the stadium but about the terrible lease they have.

I dont know if you know the demograph of the Atl metro area, but Cobb county is the baseball capital of Georgia. the location caters alot more to the middle and upper class of Cobb, North Fulton, Forsyth, and Cherokee counties...a class that was practically non-existent in South Fulton, North Clayton, and SW Dekalb.

To me its a statement that the owner wants to build where he can get the most fan support in town

in all seriousness. this should have happen a while ago. I remember back in the fulton county days getting to the ballpark via Pryor st. Reminded me of that scene in vacation, "roll'em up!"

Has nothing to do with renovations, the park is still really nice. It's about the ridiculous lease situation.

meh...s'just a pain in the ass changing modes. we live in Brookhaven. it's been swell taking MARTA downtown for Braves games for 30 years. I figure we've only driven downtown a handful of times...ditto Hawks, Thrashers, Olympics, etc...but we've always 'driven' to Falcons games - to tailgate.

heard that. v'been a Braves fan since 1957, but...they, and MLB in general, lost bookoo luster in 1994. Still love the game, the experience & atmosphere though.
