I agree, can't stand this rule. Happy as hell it went in NEs favor though. Just FYI i watched the game in a bar. I called it a TD. The majority of non-Steeler fans (mostly pissed off and drunk 12s) said it was no catch. For what that's worth?I hate black and white rules. Only hire refs with a minimum of vvommon sense, and let them make a common sense call. Anybody with any common sense (and not a vested rooting interest) can see that was a catch on the overturned call. But instead they overanalyze it to try and see how it applies to the way the rule was written.
Deja vu?
Finally have internet back... Still place is a mess but baby steps.
Wish I actually was able to see this game... Just got it back in time to see Brady and Big Ben hugging.... I saw on ESPN gamecast that the Steelers got a TD with like 28 seconds left, then reversed.. What happened? Why was it?
None of your business
Lucky he didn't get a taunting penalty. That was a huge dose of Gronk. That taunt after the 2-pointer was funny.
Yeah, once they showed the angle, the precedent is clear. If you told me that was a drop in pickup, I don't think anyone would take you seriously.
It was a joke. The game was long over before I posted it.Why would he say that or anybody? Pats were - 2.5 and you win, 3 is a push
Flip a coin"what is a catch?"
thank god baseball doesnt ask "what is a run?"
that sport has their shit together

Yeah, as I said the precedent is clear. The rule itself is clear as mud for any kind of plain reading of it; it's what happens when justifications and CYA come before making things right. It was clear he had control. I don't care for the rule. I thought Dez scored in that playoff game.. what was it last year.. and it's 'The Calvin Johnson' rule so it's always been a sore spot.
