Seriously though. If you aren't winning the trenches you can have all the 4 and 5 stars you want in the secondary. It won't make a hill of beans.

But you go on thinking corners and safeties are gonna make the difference between winning and losing big games.

Getting run the fuck over made our defense far worse than it should have been.

Not getting pressure on the QB made our defense far worse than it should have been.

Stafford made our D look far worse than it should have.

Not his fault dline was playing patty cake with the OL and lb were too slow that rb/WR were full speed when he had to make a tackle.....

Notice stafford got drafted and no one else from DL or lb.....

You don't want your secondary make tackles on a reg basis like on stafford had to make open field tackles.. It's starts up front

Careful, irule gets perturbed when you criticize D-line play.

Every time I see the wisky game on BTN I shake my head

High school offense of sweeps misdirection and power play had neb defense confused like a surprised exam.

Ain't gonna lie that game still stings makes no sense to me

:L

Our DL sucked

But Stafford was by far thee worst player we had playing on D

:bullshit:

Whaley?!? Fisher(injury hurt him) green was picked on alot. Pj smith had some bad moments. I mean that your opinion and I respect it but I dont agree at all.

Safety is by far the most important position in Pelini's defense... DL is HUGE, but if we have an all-american type safety we beat UCLA at least.

Billy Hirschfield committed to Wisconsin today... huge miss by the staff. Tough pull for us out of Wisconsin but he was a big target.

Nebraska has been counted as one of the teams hard after 5-star safety prospect John Smith (Juju Smith) out of California, he's a high 4-star per Rivals though. Heard on the radio that Nebraska has to contend with UCLA, Michigan and Notre Dame... however he did say that Nebraska was ahead of USC at this time. He's the #1 Safety on Scout, #15 DB on Rivals and the #2 ATH on 247Sports.

Legit talent... here is his 247 profile: HERE

Would love to actually land a 5*

Long ways to go with this one, but at least we're in the neighborhood... we've come realy close for two years straight (Andrus Peat and Priest Willis) maybe this is the year? The 2015 class is starting to look up though... a future 5-star recruit from Maryland (same school as Jason Ankrah and Marcus Newby) will be visiting for Big Red Weekend this summer, and he seems excited about it.
