I just wanted to start this thread to talk about ND x players that are in the NFL. 2 names I want to talk about is S. Tuitt and L. Nix. Wow they are Busts right now. Both can't get on the field. I guess they should of stayed 1 more year. Im shocked how they can't get on the field. I thought both would be good to almost great NFL players. As of right now I am wrong. not saying their careers are off just that right now they aren't doing well.

I think we'll see Tuitt sooner than later. The way NE played defense on Monday night I can't see how they can keep sitting him. Theo Riddick has got some playing time in Detroit lately. Once again Kyle Rudolph is injured. I am not positive but I think Eiffert is still injured too. Have heard much on Manti Teo and how he has played. Michael Floyd is having a decent season in Arizona averaging 84 yards a game. Harrison Smith in Minnesota, Zeke Motta with the Falcons. Just to name a few.

Isn't Tuitt playing for the Steelers?

Nix is coming off an injury, to call him a bust is a bit unfair. Tuitt got a lot of first team reps in preseason. Not sure what his issue is, but I think he'll come around. The coaches seemed to think he has potential. A lot of Domers are injured right now. Motta's neck injury could be career ending, either way his season was over before it started. Teo just went down with another foot fracture, until then, he was the team's leading tackler. TJ Jones is out until at least week. 7. Rudolph is injured. KLM went down preseason again. Eifert is out until at least week 10.

Guys who are getting meaningful PT are Robert Blanton, Darrin Walls, Prince Shembo. Harrison Smith is having an arguably pro bowl caliber season. Zach Martin, much to my chagrin, is getting positive press as part of Dallas' resurgent offense, especially DeMarco Murray's running.

Tuitt is a Steeler, my mistake. I was reading the Steeler's board and the NE board after those losses and got the two mixed up but you're right he's a Steeler. My mistake.

Zach martin is showing he might of bern the best tackle in the draft. M Floyd has took over as the #1 WR on the cards. ND has some x players doing well

You mis-spelled Guard. :yahoo: Martin is a force on the interior of their line. And that moron wanted to take Manzel with that pick.

Ummm ... I still think Fitzgerald is the #1 in the desert. But MF is having a great breakout season, so far.

Larry is barely getting by 3 receptions per game.

Tate is also doing very well this season and with Megatron injured his numbers should go way up.

It's a shame Te'o can't stay healthy because he plays well when he manages to get on the field.

Ok ... I get your numbers deal. But do you actually believe Floyd is the QB's #1 receiver over Fitz? Maybe there's a reason Fitz is only putting up the #'s so far this year ... double teamed/tighter coverage maybe?

I'm elated Floyd is busting the #'s he has so far, but cmon guys ... Fitz is still The Man for the Cards.

Fitz has not been receiving the doubles he did years ago. Better defenses will often play him man. While most ND players are busts or nothing special once they get to the NFL, Floyd is a true exception. He just keeps getting better and is arguably the Cards #1 WR threat right now.

^ Fair enough, sir. I knew MF was having a bust out year, and I had huge hopes for him in the NFL, but I didn't realize he was surpassing Fitz. :suds:

I can't say I agree that most Notre Dame players are busts, plenty of guys are playing at a high level.

U are way off about ND players. As of late ND players are doing good. U might be thinking about 5-10 years ago. As of late they been good. Tate,Martin,Floyd, H. Smith, and almost any TE that comes out and so on and so on. Only position I will give u is at the QB position. We haven't had a ND QB do well in the NFL in a long time.

Worth a mention here. The second half of the Lions/Falcons game involved a lot of Golden Tate and Theo Riddick. Tate is the go to guy without Johnson, led all receivers and had a long TD reception and an almost two point conversion to tie it. Riddick had 74 receiving yards and a TD and a clutch grab on the drive that set up the game winning FG. Ball was way out in front and snagged it by his fingertips. Tate's prior reception on that drive got them out of their own deep territory.
