Yea, outofyourmind, when the accident rate began to escalate, many States changed the public education requirements and two years after I left High School in Pennsylvania (1976, I graduated in 1974), they changed the option class of Driver's Education to mandatory.

Had a friend in High School that had a 1966 Impala SS with a 283 in it.
It was a slug. Had air shocks and mag wheels but was slow as shit.

The 327 option was a bit more spirited especially with the posi rear-end. You could get one of these with the vaunted 409. Badass!

I was already driving pickups and tractors on my uncle's farm before I took driver's ed but I think it was on the verge of becoming mandatory in Kansas, and the insurance companies were offering discounts to those who took driver's ed. I didn't really need it as I had more than enough credits, but when three of the best looking girls in school were taking it that summer and you get a chance to drive a Pontiac Judge (something your parents would never own), why the hell not?

The last Muscle Car ever built. 1974 Pontiac GTO 455.
Never appreciated. Would run 14.7 second quarter miles out of the factory with a 3.42 rear end.
Handled better than any other muscle car before it.
Shame Pontiac didn't put the Super Duty in it, or it would have become a legend.

Thats a '73.
'74 was a Nova body/chassis.

Dodge's badest Viper yet. I am so torn between this and a hellcat shoe-horned into a Grand Cherokee. Trouble is I can't afford either one or even remotely both. Oh, to be able to dream!

I got a boner last October when I traded in my minivan for a 2WD, 2011 Ford F150. Does that count?
