2016 Chevy El Camino SS Price Concept - itswallpics.com

Chevy needs to stop utilizing the Challenger as a basis for their design of retro models like the El Camino and the Chevelle. Stick with a Chevy design and stop stealing from Dodge.

I always loved the El Camino's.
As a truck, you could order it with any engine/trans combo you wanted.
Even as the mid to late 70's crushed most performance in almost every car, you could still order this thing up with some potent engines and stiff gearing.

amc rebel

Those Rebels were very torquee and fast. Came with a 343 C.I. with an optional 4bbl and you could kick some serious ass. This one was right up there with the AMC with the 390 C.I. I believe you could couple that engine to a four-speed and a posi rear end. My stepmother owned one of these and she got a little alcohol in her and destroyed it. I laughed and just shook my head.

I loved this style. Most people didn't but I think it's like the 1971 Mach I, most didn't like it, but I did.
It's a great look.

To me its the quintessential muscle car. Something about that look just says "yeah..." nothing else needs to be said.

De judgeeeee

The car I took driver's ed in, I shit you not. Talk about fun when we went for the highway drive...I still think the two girls in the back seat pissed their pants when the instructor told me get up to highway speed (back when it was 70 on the two lane) and I floored that sucker. :laugh3:

I believe you Sooner. Anybody who had the opportunity to either own one or drive one did the same thing you did.

Those sleeper cars were so cool outofyourmind. You didn't know what you were pulling up next to at a stoplight until you actually got there and looked over. Then you;d get the "nod" and then you knew. There were a host of them and nearly every car manufacturer had them.

And Sooner. Guys knew/know that badass muscle cars were/are chick magnets just like a Harleys were/are. Women love that rumble between their legs and you can draw your own conclusions as to why.

That maybe true but in the mid-80's I had a Toyota MR-2 that was a bigger chick magnet than the Javelin was...cruising around San Antonio one night it seemed like every time I stopped at light chicks would just come over...and yeah there were some who were probably street walkers but...
