Zunino is making a strong case for AL Player of the Month and we still have 9 games to go in June. He's had such a hot month that he's made people forget that guys like Valencia and Dyson have also stepped it up another gear or two in June. Factoring in the homers, he's been the best hitter on the team by a pretty decent margin this month and we have five regulars hitting better than .295 in June so far.

This type of production won't last forever and it'll be interesting to see how he handles his first slump with this new approach, but damn it's been fun to watch him hit this month. Do you realize he's up around .260 now? You'd have been laughed out of the building if you'd suggested he'd be hitting .260 at any point during the season, let alone this soon after getting sent down and recalled. He's gone from being an offensive liability to being a guy that teams are gonna start pitching around pretty soon. Swapping out Motter for Segura this week will take away one of the few holes this lineup has left.
