Well I'm guessing the dipshit doesn't realize one of the site admins is a M's fan. Not terribly bright.

Zunino is on fire! Good for him. 7 rbi and it's the 5th.

turns out the numbers Zunino put up when he came back from AAA last year might not have been a fluke

I like how Goldsmith asks him about his playing days. He steers the conversation better than Sims.

no idea if zunino is "fixed", but i think the CTZ philosophy was freaking him out early in the year. he was taking a LOT of really good pitches trying to work counts. he's being much more aggressive now, and a few tweaks to his stance sure seem to be working for now.

13 times a mariner has had 7 rbi in a game.

also, this is the 7th grand slam of the day today, the most in one day in MLB history

For me his defense was enough, anything he did on offense was a bonus, at least its a lot better than what ever the hell tuffy was.

So any chance that once Felix is back the M's keep Gaviglio and Bergman in the rotation and dump Gallardo? One can dream...

I think that's what you'll end up seeing. Gallardo was the 5th starter before the rest of the rotation was decimated and he somehow remains no better than the 5th starter despite being the lone veteran in a rotation filled with rookies, a DL regular and a second-year guy. With Paxton back and Felix, Kuma and Smyly (eventually) on the way back and these two kids pitching their way onto the roster for the foreseeable future, I don't know how you keep Gallardo for much longer when he's getting shelled nearly every time he pitches.

That Zunino slam was impressive. 2 rows from leaving the stadium.

And how about Valencia? 7 for his last 7

Yeah. I don't think I've ever seen a guy hit the ball that far in a game at Safeco Field in its 18-year history. It was one hell of a shot.

As far as Valencia goes, I'm sure glad the Mariners didn't give up on him a month ago. He's really picked it up since the beginning of May.
