I saw Koufax and Drysdale get knocked around from time to time. It happens.

I'd be surprised to see Kershaw have an off game like that for a very long time.

Hope so... All of the TJ surgeries keep fans on pins and needles these days. Kershaw needs to out this team on his shoulders.

Heading into the end of May and a Dodgers only two games over .500, bullpen still awful, fielding is terrible and bats inconsistent. This team is inching toward being the league laughing stock unless a drastic turnaround occurs.

Figures, the Dodgers are playing solid ball and there's a rain delay.

See, normally I wouldn't bring in how Kershaw is the highest paid pitcher in history when saying that he went 6IP 9K 3BB 2H 0ER, because I keep an even keel. I understand that Kershaw doing well is expected, and yet even when he doesn't, its still okay, because he usually takes care of business. I don't have to invoke his contract when he doesn't do well, just like I don't have to invoke his contract when he does well. I know he isn't prefect, but I know he's still the best pitcher in the game. And every day I'm glad he's a Dodger; so regardless of the outcome, I tip my hat accordingly.

Love that Kershaw bounce back game... Great to see. And he got pissed when they came out to chat with him in the sixth in a jam. Love it. Build on it and plunk Ruiz some time this weekend.

Super. I'm very proud of you . Go Dodgers.

Dan Haren imploding before the end of the second inning in Philly. Dodgers already managed an error as well. All is par for the course nearly two months into the season.

Now I'm hearing that Hanley is hurt with his calf, what a joke! :L

And the odd man out for the second game in a row Saturday is Kemp. This marks the first time he has been benched in consecutive games this year. Oh, by the way, Kemp hits over .300 at Citizen's Bank Ballpark.
But, yes, let's bench him

When ths team is not underachieving, they are so in their own head it's ridiculous. As you note, even the manager.

Btw, another error and another run. Your 2014 Los Angeles Dodgers.

Congrats to Beckett. Not the most endearing pitcher out there, but when he was on top of his game, he was a lot of fun to watch. He had some pretty incredible games with the Red Sox. Hope he keeps it up.

Well, Dodgers have won three series in a row (tough losing the Kershaw game). Now can they do it against top flight teams? Good to see the improvement.

:agree: The only problem is that despite them playing much better, they have gained no ground on the Giants & they lost a game back last night. We are now 5.5 games back.

Worst case scenario: Dodgers win the wild card.

This teams issues are as clear as day... June will be a telling month. Could also be a good thing if the Dodgers remain a middling team. Management might then trade off some pieces. They will certainly eat some dough in the process, but moving Kemp, Crawford, League, Ethier, Gozalez, Beckett may not be a bad idea if possible. And what to do with Han Ram? Hard to pay a suspect defender with middling numbers a kings ransom.

3rd place and three losses in a row. 7.5 back, June 1 day away. I'm not sure this team has World Series mettle
