I'm taking part in a Mock Draft with some people. It's not completely done yet, but I just wanted to get the thoughts of fellow Packer fans on how I've done so far.

1st round. I was able to trade down to the 30th pick. I took Jimmie Ward- S, Northern Illinois
2nd round. I traded up and had to give a 3rd round pick. I took Jace Amaro TE, Texas Tech
3rd round. The lone 3rd round pick. I took Travis Swanson C, Arkansas
4th round. Justin Ellis- DT, Louisiana Tech.
4th round Yawin Smallwood- LB, Connecticut
5th round Adrian Hubbard- LB, Alabama
5th round Devin Street- WR, Pitt

Thoughts so far?

I would like to know who else was on the board in the second to see if you needed to trade up but so far I would be happy.

It probably wasn't necessary to trade up, because Sefarian-Jenkins went right around the time we would have picked without trading up. But, I like Amaro a little better and there probably wasn't much of a chance of him slipping that far.

I don't like the baggage that comes with ASJ.

I'm just curious to see what other players were there when you took Amaro.

Cody Latimer(way too soon to take a receiver, in my opinion)
Stephen Tuitt
Louis Nix
Kyle Van Noy
Morgan Moses
Trent Murphy
Stanley Jean-Baptiste

Those were the guys that were in the 6 picks following my taking Amaro.

I like it. Love the trade back to get Ward (think maybe you could have got a third, but a great move still)
I'd probably have waited in the 2nd Round, but I kinda get why you moved up to get Jace. Good value in 2nd Round (though a 2 and 3 is pricey)

Good work

I probably would have gone with Nix, Van Noy or Murphy over Amaro but that's because I would have gone defense over offense with the pick. So I probably wouldn't have traded up so I would have had an extra 3rd round pick

I think ILB is more of a need than S with the possibility of Hyde moving there so I would have stayed at 21 and grabbed Mosley/Shazier in 1 but other than that I would be ok with that draft

You gave up 180 points on draft chart in round 1 and only managed to get a 4th round pick... you got taken to the cleaners.

Then you give up mid third round pick to move up in the 2nd round... I question that as well... especially for someone with so much baggage. Either you reached on that pick or gave up too much again.

Actual draft process is all about finding/getting value.

I do agree ILB is a big need, but I feel more comfortable with Brad Jones as a starter than Hyde being every down FS.

That said if HaHa is gone @ 21 and Mosley is there, I take Mosley (over Pryor who is vastly overrated)
