Magic and Jeannie have to be kicking themselves they did not do this a year earlier.

Welcome to the job- you got 3 more years of Deng and Mozgov taking up a third of your cap!

they could def. use a little "magic" right now- either that- or a hypnotist.

They made the change with two days to go before the trade deadline. Butler to LA?
imagine the dsyfunction when you are turning over the management team 2 days before the trade deadline.

It is a good thing though- rip the bandaid off fast-

Jeanie and Magic cant possibly do worse than Jim Buss did. At least Magic has a little clout and some vision- even if I think the best thing they could do is hire some stats-darling underling out from the Spurs or the Cavs or the Thunder- who works 70 hours a week, went to an ivy league school and will just grind.

Magic def. is a little different than an Isiah or a Vlade --- but the track record of former players becoming GM is not great.

wtf?

One source close to the situation said Kupchak and Jeanie Buss had not spoken since Nov. 1, despite her role as president of basketball operations and the power that gave her to fire Kupchak, and that her brother had resorted to communicating with his sister only through lawyers. The same source said Jeanie never was informed of a potential DeMarcus Cousins trade over the weekend and described a chaotic scene in which Jim Buss insisted low-level basketball officials “vote” on the proposed deal while Jeanie and Magic were left in the dark.

this sounds like some Cleveland Browns type shit right here....

Sources: With Magic Johnson in power, Lakers eyeing agent Rob Pelinka to become GM

"Before the Lakers fired Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss on Tuesday, the franchise had already moved away from trying to pursue the Golden State Warriors’ Bob Myers, the franchise’s original top target for general manager, league sources told The Vertical.

After Myers signed a recent contract extension, it became clear to Lakers brass that it would be unable to lure Myers, league sources said."

GET OFF MY LAWN LAKERS.

He used to be. Paying Mozgov and Deng 136mil was not a good move at all.

Is he not allowed to make a few mistakes, after proven what great GM he was? Plus, we know Jimmy boy had the final say so.

I just think Mitch should get a chance to be a GM without Jim Bus over his head.

Also, he think MC Williams is the next Jason Kidd.

If he means a big young PG that can't shoot from the perimeter, he's pretty accurate actually. He's got a longgggg way to go to get to Kidd level game though.
