Miami Dolphins Week 13 Game Thread

Game with the 49ers just about done so might as well start this thread.

The Ravens are a quality team and roster -- you never know which Ravens team will show up , though.

Its a winnable game if we play our game but it surely won't be as easy as some others during our winning streak.

Its a game we have to have in our playoff push.

If the season ended today the Ravens would host the Fins in the Playoffs in the first round. The Fins are making a statement with each win. This game would show the Fins can match up well against the Ravens on the road.

The Ravens are tough to beat but beatable. Flacco will make mistakes when under a lot of pressure. The Fins need to force mistakes and turnovers in this game.

This is one of those games that I just assume the Dolphins lose. Baltimore has had our number for a while now. IMO this game will tell us a lot about how much progress they have made. The last few games haven't exactly been against the stiffest competition and they were probably closer than they should have been.

The Ravens have played better defense this year than the Fins however the Fins have played better offense then the Ravens. The Fins have played a lot of good defenses and still have scored 31 more points than the Ravens. (249 to 218) This will be a tough matchup however the Fins have a good chance to win. In addition, the Fins will have two of their starting Olinemen back in the game. If Ajayi gets the train rolling down the tracks, the Ravens could be in trouble. Plus there is a general assumption that THill will have no time to throw yet the starters don't usually get dominated. The only backup on the Oline is Steen & he's been playing really well. Parker being out is definitely not ideal however Carroo has a lot of talent & Grant could be a difference maker if he gets the ball in space. Williams could make some plays at RB catching the ball. The Ravens are a physical team that is well coached but there is a reason that the Fins have a better record than them going into the game.

The Fins definitely have a chance it will be a tight game getting Albert and Tunsil back is huge. Hopefully Parker plays too as he's a difference maker...

Keys to the game tomorrow:

Establish the run early and often

Make the Ravens one-dimensional. They have a nonexistent running game but we have to make sure we emphasize that fact by making them one dimensional and making them pay for it when they throw it.

The Fins must bring disciplined pressure early and often - not way to get punched time after time before the defense gets it together as it has been during just about every game during this streak.

With their lack of a running game, hits will be there for the taking if the Fins bring the pressure.

Their best way for scoring is their kicker. Field position will be of great importance -- keep them out of FG range for as long as possible and we avoid them staying in this game longer than they should.

It won't be easy, but the Dolphins have what it takes to make it such if they desire

I'm confident that if they stop the run they will win this game. On offence they simply need to be balanced and they'll score enough points.

We need to address the kicker position in the off-season -- Andrew Franks is simply not nearly as reliable as he needs to be.

The fins, and all teams need to scout the position better taking the new FG/XPs dynamic into consideration.

the good times seem to be coming to an end this week so far.
