The Mets continue their five-game series against the Phillies in Philadelphia on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
Rafael Montero (0-2, 4.96 ERA) gets the start for the Mets, opposed by A.J. Burnett (3-4, 3.51 ERA) for Philadelphia.

Oh yeah! 3 in a row!!

And w/ the redsox sweeping the braves, we're just 3 games back in the NL east....

Btw: Congrats on the Rangers series win over the Habs, and making it into the Stanley Cup finals for the 1st time in 20 yrs.

That's pretty cool. :suds:

Just think if the bats actually come to life and everyone gets hot at the same time. The pitching will be there, if Mejia keeps it up we can close out games we may actually be able to enjoy some games after the all star break for a change.

That would definitely be nice....but the key will be consistency and staying healthy.
There's still 4 months to go... I'm always rooting and hoping.
(when I'm not lambasting or commiserating.... lol)

I get the RH/LH debate but I just feel that Campbell could play a better LF over Abreu.

Hoping to get to watch the game tonight although I have a trainee so it might not happen. Montero is going to be real good as long as he can keep his pitch count down to stay in the game a bit longer.

Montero at this point needs more seasoning in AAA....he's the weak link on the pitching staff IMHO....
He nibbles too much when he doesn't have to....and falls behind in the count to too many batters and gets into trouble...maybe a veteran Catcher could settle him down, but Td'A isn't that guy.....

We gotta get Gee back in the mix ASAP.
