Matheny has done a great job this year, especially when he had so many rookies.

As for the Dodgers, I know they will be tough. They don't swing and miss quite as much as Pittsburgh did, but they can be beat.

Since 2011 StL is 4-2 vs Kershaw but only 1-5 vs Greinke. STL handles hard throwing lefties like Kershaw better than the soft tossers like Liriano. Have to figure a way to beat Greinke. I assume it will be Greinke game #1 and Kershaw game #2 since Kershaw pitched Monday. BUT, home field will be an asset.

Matheny has done a great job. Pujols leaves after 2011 he didn't have Carpenter for most of the year and Garcia also went down and goes to the NLCS in 2012. Garcia and Carpenter are down again this year. Motte goes down, Craig's gone for the last month and Freese was awful most of the year yet they are back in the NLCS.

SJ76.....It was the late 80's at a club here where I saw Ravishing Rick Rudeand Manny Fernandez bellying up at the bar after a show. Shook Rude's hand. Man, he was a huge dude. Manny was no little guy himself. Not nearly the hard ass as his alter ego was, but I didn't bother him except for the hand shake. Didn't want to press my luck.
