Our problem hasn't been QB play since he's been on the team....

It has been defense....I would expect a half way knowledgeable football fan to understand that.

Oh, I'm well aware that Oakland's defense has been bad. Carr's record last year showed definite regression. We'll see if Chucky the quarterback-whisperer can work his magic.

For the record, I was not one of the Broncos fans who said Case Keenum was going to be the savior. He's an upgrade from where we were last year but many questions remain.

James Washington and Juju both had some nice big plays yesterday on balls I'm not sure Martavis would have fought as hard for.

If Washington carries his training camp and pre-season play into the regular season that's huge. Everything Martavis could have been with none of the headache, plus he's under contract for more than just this season.

Oh and they also got Mason Rudolph to boot.

So let's keep things in check with the Raiders

1. They name a guy that hasn't coached in a decade as head coach.

2. Looking to trade Mack because they won't even negotiate with him.

3. A WR they traded for, doesn't understand the playbook.

4. They want their starting LT to take a pay cut.


5. Prefer veterans in their 30s as opposed to young guys to build a team with.

Definitely an upgrade from last year, no doubt ... I think a lot of Broncos fans that were saying Manning was washed up now realize just how good he was... I was telling Broncos fans you won’t make the playoffs after he retired, I was laughed at... I think it’s easy to forget when you have a great QB what a huge difference it makes, it’s hard to find... Some teams go decades not finding one ...
