All of you that are pissed about the fine, you have a chance to help him out with it.

Even I donated $5.

12th Man For Marshawn Lynch by Loren Summers - GoFundMe

This is terrible. Donating to make sure the millionaire doesn't lose a small percent of his weekly paycheck that he chose to throw away himself. That's like me speeding past a cop on purpose and getting a ticket. Only to have homeless people donate to pay for that ticket.

He just tweeted that he'd double any donation that is raised and send it to a charity.

Just TERRIBLE!

Actually much better. That is the right thing to do. I never said Lynch was a bad person, just thought the whole idea of someone doing something deliberately knowing he will get fined, only to have others without as much as him try to pay that fine is absurd. I would say the same regardless of who he played for. I couldn't care if he talks to the media or not, but when that time comes to pay the fine I won't feel sorry for him. Well done by Lynch, classy move.

I don't think there was ever a doubt that whatever was "given" would have been donated to charity. I think it's against NFL rules for that to even happen. Besides, the negative press would have been huge, for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

It was the classy thing to do for sure. Not sure about the rule part though. Didn't Ray Lewis just pay half of someone's fine a few weeks back?

He offered, but it wasn't allowed. He never paid.

“And, also, I am going to go down in history for something. I’m not sure what yet, but it will be something good”

Marshawn Lynch is the fucking man, if he doesn't want to speak to the media, he doesn't have to!

You go, Beastmode!

And go Hawks this weekend! Beat the Saints, again!

I don't use Twitter so I'm not going to try to post a tweet, but Lynch tweeted thank you to the 12 for helping and that he would match whatever is raised and donate it to charity.

Lynch used to be one of my favorite Seahawks just because of his bruising running style, but in the last couple years he's really emerged as a good guy as well. His camps in Oakland for inner city kids, the charitable donations, and even last week when he gave his shoes and gloves to a couple little girls in the stands after he was done with his work helping us to a NFCW title.

Marshawn, please give a big middle finger to the NFL and the sports media by giving the least helpful answers possible when interviewed. Be sure to use the phrases "what do YOU think" and "it is what it is" a lot.

I dont mind him brushing off the média. I also dont mind him being held accountable for breach of contract.

I'd like to see you get body slammed 20+ times a game by 250-300lb NFL athletes every week. Yeah, really easy job.

For several million a year? I'd do fucking cartwheels all the way to the bank.

That's pretty much where I'm at. There's annoying responsibilities with any job. In his case he can pay a bunch of money to get around them and he chose to do just that, which I have no problem with.

Update: Apparently he appealed the fine and won, but still plans to match all donated funds and, in turn, donate those funds to a local charity.
