How talking about trading DOWN.. and getting more draft picks. That would be the college way. It's scheme over skillset. Chip can develop another MM.

I don't care if he's 5'11. This guy is stout and rocked up. Look at those quads!!

Fwiw, I hope you're right and I'm wrong, believe me I do....

I just don't think the production has matched the hype. How many games has he dominated? We regularly got killed in coverage in the middle of the field last year.

People think the asking price for trading up is going to be enormous, like two firsts, two seconds and Foles.

There's not enough market for Mariota and a much bigger market to trading down. I think Chip can get him cheap.

I hope you are right but there are reportedly teams interested in MM, including Cleveland, and the Titans, Bears, Bills and Jets among others may be suitors.

As if only teams that run the read option would be interested in him.
I don't think any team in the top ten is comfortable pulling the trigger on him. He's a little bit of a project for teams. Tbay has all but dismissed him and nobody has even been rumored to be interested other than us.

Definitely not on Kendricks, dude is a beast in coverage. I guess we both saw something different on tape last year. I was a huge Kendricks fan at Cal and I wanted the Eagles to draft him badly -- he was very inconsistent his first 2 years here, but I loved what I saw last year.

No we should have taken my boy Lavonte David when we had the chance... Hey I like Kendricks a lot, but injuries and just a slow slow start to his career have made him just a solid player thus far. I think he can become a very good player, but no way do I see a Ray Lewis type player.

Chip would have already gotten rid of him. Where's he going to play in a 3-4? He's perfect in the defense he was in and the defense he is in now.

While I would love to see us get Mariota, I simply don't see us getting him unless he drops to around 8 or 9 which I see zero chance of happening. Chip can want him all he wants, but from 20 into the top 5 is a monster leap. I think Chip will concentrate on Hundley or Petty in Rd 2 to learn behind Sanchez for a year or two.

:pout:

I like Petty a lot better than Hundley. Hundley has very primitive QB skills despite running a pro style offense. He's a major, multi-year project.

Petty is accurate and a quick decision maker. I like him a lot.

Oh man! I love Sam Bradford. Remember pimping him before the draft (not that we had any chance of getting him).

HE is the QB of the future! Book it!

Looks like we can put the MM rumors to rest now. Bradford our new starting QB.

goddamn retarded. Samantha Bradford? Seriously? He's more injury prone than Matt Glassford.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if we just swing him in another trade. And in that case way to work the phones Chipper.

We aren't trading Bradford. He will be the starter. Injury prone yes, but if he's on the field, he's going to put up record breaking numbers in Chip's offense, IMO.

He's accurate and smart as a whip. Deadly combo in this offense. Not mobile, but doesn't have to be considering how quick he can get the ball out. Get it to the right guys at the right time and let the WRs, TEs, and RBs do the work.
