They talked about our Defense right before the SuperBowl last year, and it was said we have 1 player on our defense that would even start in Seattle.....Fletcher Cox.....kendricks would be a backup.....Studs don't backup anyone.

Actually, this isn't clear at all. I love DeMeco, but it remains to be see if he plays for us again .... or at all, for that matter. Trading Kendricks, right now, would be beyond stupid.

Then why wouldn't they cut him right away, use his money on free agency right now? They love the guy, they wouldn't keep him around if he wasn't in the plans.

Not sure who "they" are. But, I'd gladly start Kendricks at WLB on that Seattle defense, he and Wagnor are both studs. Sometimes teams are stacked on defense and if you already have a superstar at that position that's not a very accurate argument lol.

Hahha, sorry, that's who I wanted. And I liked Kendrick, at first, but while he's capable of creating explosive plays on d, he disappears for stretches, and isn't known for physicality. With kiko and meco, we can deal Kendricks and draft a young guy. Plus goode should be recovered.

Because he is still rehabbing, and Chip is holding out hope that he can return to pre-injury form. He just got cleared to start doing hard runs about a week and a half ago. Still, an achilles is a very hard injury to come back from. Just because he isn't cut right now, doesn't mean he won't be. It depends on how his rehab continues to go.

It makes no sense to even entertain the idea of trading Kendricks until they're 100% sure DeMeco is ready to go.

Foles + 20 for rams 10? Jump from there top 3 with future picks. It's difficult but,not impossible.

Here's the problem though ... the Titans may just simply want him, the Jets may want him and stand at 6, the Bears at 7, the Browns who have 2 firsts may want him ... we won't be the only team wanting to snag Mariota and if the Titans don't select him for themselves they are very likely to trade that pick to the highest bidder. From 10 to 2 is where I see the problem. That move will likely take pick 10, our 1st in 16 and 17 plus a few more 2nd and 3's. To me it's just too much and I'm a big Mariota fan ... Hell, I'd rather just give the Niners Foles and our 1st for Kap instead of a potentially crippling move like that.

Agreed, plus they have to draft a player to groom under meco too. But I would move the 5'11 230lb ilb while the league still thinks of him as a rising star.

I think Mariota passes just fine from the pocket when he needs to do it. He's also an excellent passer on the run ... I think he's a taller/faster Russell Wilson. I don't think he's just a fit for our system. I would LOVE to be wrong and see him drop past 6 where we can trade up and grab him without selling the farm.
