Yay, looks like we won... i'm getting ready to watch the game on DVR right now... Looks like Paxton pitched his butt off... Facing the same team as a pitcher in 5 games is tough and he shut them down...

Great to get one back and a great way to open up the home stand...

Just got back. 10 hours, $500, 2 mile walk to stadium, and a bottle of ant-acid...and it was actually all worth it. Fun day.

What exactly is a strike today? Paxton keeps hitting the strike zone and the chUMP keeps calling them balls.

We were right behind homeplate and it looked that way there, but no replay of k-zone. Glad to hear it wasn't just us at the game thinking that. I might watch the game on replay.

ump was actually pretty consistent with calling low pitches right on the inside corner of the plate to righties balls, and low on the outside corner just out of the zone strikes.

See were great. 10th row behind home plate. Its a 125 mile drive one way so we don't go much so we spent big on one game vs spending less on more games. We are going back June 4th, but have decided we are taking the train. More money, less headache.

After yesterday, we were ready to stay home...but I was too cheap to eat the tickets.

Yup... word is "mild hamstring"-- so he's day to day. Servais of course is downplaying the injury but these are pesky so i expect him to miss some time.

Bam, just what I was looking for from Paxton -- 7 strong innings to make it easier on the bullpen and stop the skid. That was a "climb on my back" type performance from him.

Pretty good atmosphere yesterday, never been to an opener before and it was a good show. It was tough to find a table for a bite anywhere near the stadium -- tried 3 places before we finally found a seat, then the server told us it would be 45 minutes for the kitchen to turn an order. Good problem to have I guess, with 44k+ at the game.

Starting to wonder if Altavilla has a better makeup for the closer role. I'm not ready to quit on Diaz, but Altavilla has that bulldog look out there and goes right after guys with his best stuff. Maybe a little more consistent command that Diaz.

Cruz is getting warm and Seager has the look as well, nice to have the 3,4,5 keep up with 1, and 2 in the order.
