Marinelli to Bucs?

I would rather have swartz or someone that gets rid of Kiffins outdated scheme. Kiffin did not adjust the scheme to the talent on hand. The vikings d sucked so we dont need frazier. This is where zimmer would be the obvious choice as he was great at this. I want kiffin gone.

Disagree on Swartz. As to Zimmer, yeah he would be awesome, but the only way we're getting him is if we fire Red and make him Head Coach. I'm all for it

ESPN NFC North blogger Pat Yasinskas is "hearing" the Bucs will hire Rod Marinelli as defensive coordinator.

Lovie Smith would be tabbing longtime pal Marinelli over Leslie Frazier, who could still be brought on in a position coach/"assistant head coach" role. The hangup with Marinelli was the fact that he coached Dallas' defensive line in 2013, and was still under contract with the Cowboys in 2014. Per NFL rules, position coaches must be formally released by their teams to accept anything below a head-coaching job. So Jerry Jones must've agreed to let Marinelli go.

Yeah, but if Rod wants to go I doubt Jerry will hold him back. Mike Fisher brought up a good point this morning, do you want to keep Marinelli if he doesn't want to be here? If he is unhappy in Dallas would he do a good job?

At the moment the Cowboys still have not agreed to release Rod. And unless they do Tampa can't steal him.

On another note it looks like the Vikings will hire Zimmer. He's not allowed to be interviewed until after the first playoff game though.

I agree that Swarts is an ahole and arrogant. I persoanlly can't stand that our defense with the exception of hatcher and lee are too nice.. I wnt my defense to smack someone in the mouth not play like sissies.

Then you don't want Swarts, his defense suck and is one of the reasons they were 7 and 9. Oh and he had a better D-line than we have in Dallas.

Pipedream here- Brian Broaddus says that Marinelli is under contract with Dallas and would have to be let out of it. He suggested swapping 1st round picks for compensation. Remember this is the same team that traded 2 first rounders for Gruden. Marinelli is not Gruden but we are talking about 10 spots in the first round. Definitely a bargaining chip.
