Interestingly enough, I think our best bet is depth offense. Camm, Palm, Henrique, Stemp and Zajac are providing great numbers. Elias was doing ok when he got back 5 PTS in 8 Games, then the last 4 before the surgery he looked terrible. If you have Blandisi with Zajac and Palms (Why split them up if they're playing great). That leaves you with:

Boucher, JJ, TooToo. TooToo has been a blackhole IMO. He's no better than a 4th liner. Quenville and Zacha I don't see being options this season. If you can get a legit second liner to play 3rd line duty with Boucher and JJ, that would make us very strong. Somebody with a good two way game who can finish. A Langenbrunner type player.

Obv this means that Boucher needs to continue playing well, and JJ needs to get going. Maybe even a center would be best and let JJ play wing. We'll see what happens.

Our young D is strong, but it's not like we have 10 guys who are gong to be lights out. If you move Larsson, Severson, or Merrill, that young depth doesn't look so deep. Of course Schlemko and Moore playing great has been huge. Moore especially since he's still really young.

this scoring of late is a credit to them... but one reason i'm not(as many aren't either) jumping up n down is that I expect another lull in offensive output at more points this season...

how do we upgrade that or better our offensive efficiency?

well that sucked.... we have our share of injuries but the lack of consistent goal scorers makes this frustrating for me....

Hynes has done a wonderful job IMO as well as Shero.... we need a long term scorer here, how can it get done? that's for Shero to figure out...

Will say it again, Hynes doing a hell of a job with this team.
They were talking about Shero last night and how he mentioned no rental type deals at deadline. I think most of us are relieved hearing that.
I thought they played a solid game last night. Offense struggled but few posts (crossbar). Games like that happen. A team like Pittsburgh has a lot more pressure to get into the playoffs compared to the Devils. They are picking it up, as are other good teams in that 8 spot area. See TB.

What is going on in Montreal? That team has has fallen way down in the standings from first place.

they're almost the reverse Devils of a few years ago where we started off like hot poo but became juggernauts in the 2nd half

the nhl staged this whole thing for this exact reason! scott gets into the all star game nhl doesn't do anything he goes unnoticed. now? nhl makes a big deal looks evil drives up the ratings and boom look what happened this weekend?


montreal is exactly like this team. timely goal scoring no real studs up front and an all star goalie. if cory got hurt we would be rocking down the standings too. price if wasn't hurt would've won mvp

I thought John Scott would look like a traffic cone 3 on 3. He did as well as he possibly could to fit in, didn't end up looking lost out there, and ended up the story of the game.
I still don't think he should have been there.

I was skeptical at first. But it wound up being a very exciting game. And A great story. I converted his goals to gif and they broke 2000 views in and hour. Scott stole the show. How have you been cup? Im finally liking the direction the devils are headed. Debar was killing our youth Hynes has been great imo

i will say that larrson has been VERY VERY good this year. but still i just feel a little cheated when you see what a monster hedman is. and even how insane ekblad has been at just 19 years old! i just dont get that feel for larrson as a true legit #1 build your team around d man

Stepniak has been huge. Great position on that goal. We need this game imo
