I'd give you an "I Love you, Man" rating, but I just can't feel sympathy for a fanbase who saw their team win 3 World Series titles in this decade and then the team finally comes back to earth.

Particularly when that team wasn't the best team in baseball in any of their three championship years, and were arguably the worst team in the postseason in one of them. They enjoyed a ridiculous amount of luck and success. I don't feel badly for them at all.

If the FO has balls, they will trade Bum. A rebuilding team does not need an Ace, especially one whose real value comes in the post season. They could almost rebuild the roster by trading him alone.

Anyway, I was thinking about out bet.

It's is who has a "better season," right? Obviously, if neither team makes the playoffs, we should go by record, otherwise, I'm thinking it should be whichever team goes furthest in the playoffs.

For example, say the Indians have a better regular season record, get bounced out of the ALDS, the the Braves get in the postseason with a Wild Card and then win the World Series, that would be stupid as hell if you lost the bet.

I say that regular season should only be used as a tie-breaker for depth in the postseason. What do you think?
