wish I had heard that convo. He did a lot of introductory to people coming in and those that felt they were suicidal. I was really screwed up at that time mentally, physically, emotionally. He did a lot of group therapy sessions talking about how he had to persevere through being a football player and active all his live. How hard it was fot him just to accept his paralysis but move forward.

everyone's personality is extremely different though Smitty. some accept and move forward but majority, something 80%+ never do. that was back then. there weren't a lot of even decent recovery centers around.

Hell, I spent 9 months at Patricia Neal Rehab Center in Knoxville as a in-patient. She was the mom in "The Walton's series. I spent another 3 months at UCLA and those 3 months in Colorado springs.

Mike was way worse off than most that came in. A lot of car accident victims with brain trauma.
